This seems like a simple question but I want to do it right the first time.
Does anyone have a picture of the hood lace installation on a 46 that fits under the hood on the front and rear cowl. I have the molded rubber from Jim Carter part number FP116 and the hood lace retainer clips.

The molded rubber has a high side or v shape and I am not sure if that side goes into the grove that runs along the cowl because the picture is not very clear.

Not sure if my '40 is the same, but I snapped a pic of the cowl side. On mine the front of the hood rests on rubber buttons, not lacing (or stripping.) Don't know how to post it here, but check first pic on my album below. Hope this helps.

The "ridge" in the center goes into the formed groove on the cowl, leaving the groove in the rubber facing up. If it goes the other way it will sit too high and your hood won't close.
