I just bought a 1940 GMC series 150. It's got the 228 inline six that I really would like to bring back to life therefor keeping it all original. I've never taken this old or style of engine apart and would like to find a repair manual for this truck. Does anybody know of a place that I can get the type of manual needed for this? Any and all help appreciated.

You should probably ask this over in General Truck Talk or in the wanted section of the Swap Meet. Not everyone checks this particular forum.

Welcome to the Bolt, and when you get a chance, we'd love to see some pictures of your truck.

I slowly figured out I posted in the wrong section. LOL I did ask the question in the General Truck Talk. I'm more of a gear head than computer guy so if I can figure out how to post pictures I'd be more than happy to put some up. The more people that look at it, the more ideas I get. Thanks for the welcome. Scott

Welcome Scott, I'm not a computer guy either, we won't hold that against you.

I was hoping it was a safe bet that most of us on here are more comfortable wrenching on a vehicle than poking at a keyboard. Thanks for the welcome.

After I posted that, I went over to General Truck myself and saw your post over there. I'm no computer geek either. (For that matter, I'm not much of a mechanic either!! grin )
