The driver's side of the seat has suffered from many years of a heavy load and the large coil springs are worn. Example - looking at the middle row that runs the length of the seat side to side, the spring height varies from 6" to 4.25". Several springs are broken.
1) Is there a good reference for rebuilding this portion of the seat? ... can't seem to find anything myself.
2) Where do people typically but these springs from? .... I've checked all the big catalogs (Classic, Jim Carter, LMC, etc.) without any luck.

1950 Chevy 3100 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | Outside of finding another seat to pull out good springs, your best bet is go to a local auto reuphostery shop and buy some or at least get their suppliers name. A complete new spring seat, no covering, cost about 1000 bucks in catalogs.
