For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 231 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 231 | need to remove this to sand metal to repaint bed prior to replacing wood. I figgered while the boards were out I'd hit it with paint (as well as sand the exposed frame members and hit that with Rustoleum (Tremclad for my friends in the Great White North) or POR 15 in a very well ventilated area (under the hickory tree out back). Any tricks or suggestions. It appears to be straight forward, but you know how that goes with these trucks! The tailgate must be open, in order to remove it or it will bind in the opening. These bolts may be seized, so be very careful not to break them off in the hole. This adds another dimension to the process, that is better left alone. Good luck. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 231 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 231 | 1963 Chevy C-10 Fleetside 1970 C-30 Dump Truck 2025 Silverado High Country 2500 Diesel 2012 Indian Chief Vintage serial #002 motorcycle 1946 Indian Chief, 1947 Indian Chief w/sidecar,2014 Indian Chieftain, 2015 Indian Scout | | |
