I heard that an Olds one piece windshield could be used on a 50 chevy pick up. Is that true? Do you know what year olds? I want to convert the two piece original windshield to a one piece and wondered if anyone else heard of this swap. Any information would be appreciated.

That applies to cars, not trucks. The 1950-52 Olds windshield can be put in '49-52 Chevy cars.

Aftermarket 1-piece windshields are available for the AD trucks, I've seen a couple of them. They look like a V-butt windshield, 1 piece with no center divider. Look around on the net and see what you can find.

Thanks, guys. I wonder if any of the new one piece curved windshields give you any distortion?

I can't remember who's glass it was but I recall there were distortion problems with the one piece conversion glass.
If I can find the link i'll post it here.

There is distortion at the crease. You can see how much by looking at one at the dealer. IMHO the crease creates less vision blockage than the joint it replaces. If I had to replace the windshield anyway, I'd probably go with the creased one-piece. But I wouldn't replace a good two-piece in hopes of getting a clearer view through the middle.

I will put some photos on my photobucket site of one on a 48 we did that has views looking from the outside in, through the crease, and straight ahead. I don't know how to have it in a post that says "click here" or just "here" but if one of you are good on a computer you have my absolute permission to do so with these pictures since there seems to be some interest. http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/coilover/

Thanks for this Coilover. Where did you purchase the windshield? I can't see much distortion from inside looking out. Is this the case in real life? Are you happy with the windshield in the end?

I think it came from Auto City Classic but not sure. 800-828-2212. If not them they would know who does offer it.
