I am so a newbee and loving every minute of it...
My best friend Steve growing up had a 1954 5 window pick up and I LOVED it back then, almost 30 years ago, and love it still even now after all these years.. He started the restore on it so the frame and mechanical all completed.... for one reason or another life changes and he has given the truck to me to finish out the DREAM! I am however missing one major important part... missing pitman arm from steering box to the drag link. I am not sure just at this point how I will finish the project to be a rat rod or go all the way and go for broke... I can't wait to get it on the road so leaning more towards a rat rod..... I will try to get a picture or two up soon.
Thanks.
Cindy... 3ontree

Hi Cindy, welcome. Good to see it's yours now. Not sure where in Ontario you live but there are suppliers here that would have what you need. Good luck!

Welcome to the Bolt Cindy.
There are lots of folks here that can help you with your project.
Look around in the swap meet section. You just may find your pitman arm there.
Good Luck and post some pics soon.

Chris

Hi Cindy, welcome to the 'bolt.

We look forward to the pics when you get the chance.

I'm pretty sure you'll find that elusive pitman arm here as well as some new friends!

Good luck.
Jock.

Another notch on the Ontario belt!

Welcome Cindy - you've just joined the best truck club on the net!

What part of Ontario are you in?

Good morning,
A small town near Fergus which is near Guelph.
Had a small amount of time this week to work on truck. Got her fired up... sounds awesome... because she sat soooo long since she was restored previously... wanted to make sure all was good... I think I will start with the truck bed... order new cross sills and wood, blast the box, prime and paint... as the frame is completely done several years ago.. it can then sit back on there and look great.. Then onto the cab.. It too was blasted many years ago and sits with a coat of primer but there are a few areas that need a little more attention. I hope to work on this through out the fall and winter months and get her on the road for spring.
Well back to work I go..
Enjoy your day..
Cindy
