If it is a 1964, the first number in the VIN will be a 4. If it is a 1965, the first number in front of the F, will be a 5. Also, on the top of the driver side frame, adjacent to the alternator, will be a 12 digit number, which is the last 12 characters of your VIN. If this string of characters begins with a 5, it is a 1965.

Check out this link: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=463671

Your VIN either needs:

- a number ahead of the "C", If it is a 60-64,

- or another number ahead of the "F", if it is a 65-66.

I hope this helps!

John
