When you say it "dies" do you mean it actually stops running, or does it hesitate and possibly backfire through the carb? You told us a while ago that you checked the carb and the accelerator pump was giving you a shot of fuel every time you worked the throttle, so leaning the mixture shouldn't be the problem.
