I'm guessing I need to check the bearing and ball, and fork, but I've never worked on trannies before. My shop guide isn't very specific on these parts or process, either.
Thank, Craig

While not a difficult job it is time consuming and heavy. So while you are at it replace the whole clutch assembly. If the throwout bearing is shot you can expect the rest of it to be on the way out. | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | If it a 4 speed its kinda tough like Cletis says. If its a 3 speed it is a lot easier especially if you are a pretty stout fellow. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I got mine from O'Reilly for $150, it even included the plastic alignment shaft for centering the disk. Parts from South America, probably better than China. A nice weekend project. You can do it yourself with the help of a tranny jack but it's more fun and smart to have a friend under the truck with you.
