Went to put the rear leafs on yesterday and noticed that i didnt note which side the spacers are installed between the leaf and frame bracket.. im wanting to say they go on the inside, front and back, but im not sure.. Any help would be greatly apreciated. the truck is a 53 3800 single wheel

From my memory the springs are set in the narrowest position, which means the spacers all go on the outside of the springs.

Double check with your tape measure and the rear axle. The shop manual has a misprint.
