Hello, I just wanted to know how to hot wire my pickup. I bought the truck without keys, and I am getting ready to fire it up for the first time. Do I just remove the wires from the ignition switch, connect them together and push the foot starter? Also, to remove the ignition switch do I just loosen the 2 screws, twist and pull out?

Thank you

Hy CheapThrills_52, connect a wire from the hot post on the starter to the coil input side, and remove the wire that was attached there, now step on the starter and she should start. Don't leave the wire connected when you're not trying to start/run the engine, hope that helps.

I just thought of something. My battery is hooked up in reverse. The negative goes to the starter and the positive is grounded. So I put an alligator clip on the coil where the ignition wire goes and hook up the other side of wire to... ?

Thank you

Yes, except negative ground.
