Hi everyone, not the best progress lately as had a paint problem meaning the bed had to be stripped down and repainted along with all the front sheet metal. You could see in sunlight that there was a shade difference. The cab was all ok what a bummer. After strip down and repaint and reassemble my project seemed to go backwards but its back on schedule now I guess.Lots of other small jobs are done and I am happier now.

Made some progress in the cab.I refurbed the guage cluster which turned out good.Got the column shifter and parking brake all painted black and refitted and adjusted. My steering wheel was really beaten up,it has been painted to match the dash in cream by the paintshop and turned out great after the cracks were ground out and filled. inside cab progress

Wow! This truck's beautiful! My husband and I just started working on the cab of my '57 Cameo. This color looks to be in the same family as my truck's color, alpine blue. That gives me a good idea of what it will look like once done... in a few years from now! Congrat again.

Hi Dan, my truck was forest green from the factory I have no idea what the original caps would be.When mine come from California it arrived with 54 caps painted white.Cameogirl thanks for looking by, 57 cameo is my favourite chevy truck and alpine blue is really cool.I spotted a cameo with a blue and cream colour scheme and went that way picking out my own shades on the way.Good luck with your build, dont forget to put pics up it keeps everyone going. All the best Mark.

Hi john
Caps are actually 40 f*rd repo and dont fit quite right I have ordered the correct for year ones with the bow ties on and nipple in the middle which should finish the truck off nice.I wanted a sort of resto look with just a 3" lowering job and its not far off.Should be firing up within a week or so.I keep getting sent to tug boats all over and its getting in the way of my truck hobby.I am going to put some interior and motor pics on soon.Speak soon Mark

Hi everyone havent posted for a while, progress not a fast as I would like life and work getting in the way of my hobby.I have had a headliner done in tuck and roll in black leather to match my bench seat, the trimmer also made a sun visor and fitted a trimmed back on the bench.Carpets have been made up in 3 sect aions and all bound up so the interior looks pretty good.I found some old chevy valve covers and they were too beat up to polish back up so blasted and painted them black.Fitted a new inlet manifold with centre oil fill.Fitted pertronix dizzy and got the plug leads made up.Fitted some 2.5" rams horn manifolds and painted them black. motor pic
