Before I do another Has anyone ever done one and can you give me some tips, other then good luck or go fiberglas? I did pre bend{form} it as best as posible with the water/ammonia. The front went really well but when I went to attach to the middle bow all the problems began. Does anyone know the length of the screws that fit into the three rubber retainers? what about converting to the two piece later headlinder, could I use the 41 center brace/bow? Any comments would be appreciated.
thanks Also the carter pattern appears to be a little short on the side area right above the driver and passanger door. I would fatten this area up next time and trim off any excess. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 583 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 583 | I was flipping through some of the older topics and saw yours. I have a 39 that had a once piece headliner. When I replaced it 30 years ago, they weren't available. So I picked up the center trim for a 2 piece and made a new 2 piece. I just replaced the 2 piece with a new 2 piece. The trim screws to the top center brace/bow. You still have to form the corners, but it's alot easier with a 2 piece.
