I'm working on a '39 JD pickup. I can't figure how the radiator mount, or cheek pieces, mount to the frame. There are the 2 bolts that secure the heavy U channel, but it appears that there may have been bolts, or nuts, securing the front portion of the flange that extends over the frames on either side. Where there pads under that flange, and was it bolted to the frame?
