Ok, took time off to work on the brakes and it looks as if I'm still stuck.

The new wheel cylinders are not the same as the originals. Using TruTorque and having weird results.

Out of six wheel cylinders...5 of them had metric bleeder valves. One of them had standard that was same size as what I took of...(3/8 - 24 ~1.5") The problem is the ones with metric bleeders are WAY too short. I'd never reach them to bleed the brakes.

Today I went to LMC and even theirs was some kind of tiny little bleeder.

What the heck is up?!?! How did I get one right one...and not be able to find another in the same brand?

What do I do now?

(Oh...and as for rebuilding the old ones...the are so nasty that the metal plunger parts are frozen into them. Even beating on it with a hammer.)

Question-Does the rest of the cylinder match up, other than the bleeder? You should be able to get longer screws to make up what you need for access. You shouldn't have to, but you should be able to.

Yes, the rest of if matches up, I am going out today to see if there is a longer bleeder valve somewhere.

There isn't one at O'Reily or Advanced Auto. Going to try Napa today.
