The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Need some pricing help on a 5-window COE?

There's a guy locally who has a 5 window COE for sale, he's asking $6,000. It looks to be in decent shape and he has it tagged and insured so he is already driving it. It's the only one i've ever seen for sale locally.

Its in the 47-53 year range.

Yall think this is a good price?

Any help would be appreciated.

All depends on wheather it needs any work, or not. If it is drivable with good tires, & no brake, or drivetrain issues, needs no paint, & has a useable bed, or body, then $6000 isn't too bad. Having a 5 window cab, is a added bonus. I've owned near 30 of them, in the last 25 years. Is it a Chevy, or GMC?

It's a chevy, it doesn't have a bed or anything else on the back of the frame.

A good flat bed will run ya $600-1000 for a used one, a dump a bit more, and that's for a modern one. It will drive a lot better with the added weight of a bed.
I've got about that in mine but I've rebuilt the brakes and put new tires all around so I know what I've got. Mine also runs like a top (thanks to Spanky). So I guess, basically, like Spanky said that is a pretty fair price if it is in similar shape, but be aware that tires and brakes will cost ya some serious $'s if they need replacing.
