I suspect a long one at least in the set.
Are these better than a long board? | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | some of the shapes might be handy to avoid making your own, but real sandpaper is best IMO, on whatever power sander is appropriate .... making shapes for hand sanding the odd places isn't too bad either using that expanding spray foam, make it any shape - and the rubbery rollers from a wringer washer are great

The short thin one was very valuable because you could bend it a bit to the contour of a curve. I bought two roles of adhesive backed sandpaper. Just cut to the size of the Durablock and adhere it. Works great. The sandpaper works with my other long board sanders including the air powered ones. You can live without the Durablocks, but I thought it was worth it. I especially like that some will bend slightly if you need them to.I bought the starter set, about $50 I think. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 | The Durablock starter kit was perfect and used extensively during my build. Well worth the investment. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 467 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 467 | what was your starter kit jomichael? From Eastwood?

Of course the two longest were used most. Durablock kit If you are new to blocking panels, then this kit comes with instructional CD's. I have not seen them but I am sure they have some good stuff on 'em. If so, I used this spray gun kit. It sprays primer really well and is a great starter gun. Spray gun kit | | |
