Hi Everyone

I went to a show in the UK at the weekend, it rained again !!!, saw this lovely Chevy with Harley on the back, thought it was great. What model is this please.

I would say that it is a '42-'46 model from what I can see, but I'm not an expert. There is info on identification here in the Tech Tips section. Those COE trucks are quite rare!

I'm not entirely sure what year Gary,but AFAIK it's early 40's.

The 'gang' will chime in soon to identify and verify.....

I didn't know there were any early COE's this side of the pond,one other thing,I hope it was laquered!

All I know is...it's a pretty smart set-up,the bike's cool too!

Hi Jock he rubs it down with clean engine oil and a rag, the water doesn't settle at all

It looks like 40casey is correct, 1942-1946 Chevrolet COE, possibly left after WWII as suggested by Tom.

I've also heard of guys using steel wool and WD40.

Not sure if a bare metal truck's a good thing,especially here with our climate,sounds like a lot of hard work!



Good point Tom, the south east of England is/was full of US bases back in the day....
In fact our 'premier' drag strip is an old US air base,now known as Santa Pod.
