What is the value of a deluxe heater from a 1952 Chevy Pickup? I have one for sale and have no idea what it is worth.

If it is a rusty running hulk a guess would be about $30.00, a restored and properly colored one can ask up to $400.00. I have been watching E-Bay for about a year on these.

You are most likely referring to the Fresh Air Heater (as apposed to Recirculating Heater).

When you list this in the Swap Meet, you should provide links to photos (so it is clear what you are selling). Also indicate (and show photos) if it includes a working control valve, control rod and mounting bracket, defroster cable/knob/bracket, and motor switch. If you have used the heater and the core does not leak, you might want to state that.

I paid $92 on Ebay (including shipping) for a decent (unrestored) fresh air unit. All original, working fan motor and solid core. $20 spent on restoration including motor brushes, paint and new stainless steel screws.

Questions like this are in a gray area. Is he just trying to find out what it's worth or is he slyly advertising it in GTT and seeking offers?

To find out what something is worth, put it on Ebay with no reserve.
