I believe the engine is a 56 year. the tranny has the linkage to adapt to floor, and it jams in between gears sometimes and I have to crawl under and free up. Is it a linkage problem or transmission problem anybody know? It's a 3 speed and 1st and reverse are reversed on the H-shift pattern. | | |

This type of problem is common to conversion kits. Make sure the shift arms are tight on the shafts coming out of the sidecover. The neutral gate between 1st/reverse and 2nd/hi must be adjusted perfectly. The shift rods should have threaded adjustments. All adjustments are made too the detents in the side cover..these must be firm.
