dumb question warning! does this type of light on top of the front fenders have a particular name? do these ones look original, and where do I look for replacement plastic covers (cracked) and bulbs (burnt out)?

I don't know for a fact but my guess is they were put on as turn signals. You should be able to get bulbs anywhere. If there are currently bulbs in the sockets pull one a take the number off of the base. If there are no bulbs in the sockets look to see if the pins are straight across or offset and if it's a single or double contact.

GM and other companies sold accessory directional signals with different styles of fender mounted lamps that look like yours. Some had a lens on one side and some had lenses on two sides.

When I went junk-yarding in VA in the 60s and 70s, a majority of the trucks in the junk yards had similar directional lamps mounted on the fenders.

6v and 12v replacement bulbs should be readily available at a good parts store. As Tiny suggests, take out a bulb and take it to a NAPA or other parts store.

That number doesn't ring a bell at all. It should have a two or four digit number like 89 or 1157. If you can't find a number take it with you to the parts house like Tim said.

As for replacement lenses, I have not seen any repros. Your best bet would be swap meet or you might get lucky on EBay...I see quite a few complete lamps on there. Possibly a late model replacement lens would fit your housing??? Try NAPA/ O'Reilly etc. Good luck!

I called Truck-Lite (who purchased Signal Stat) and they turned me on to the replacement lights, which are Signal Stat 9015 (red) and 9015W (white). Just posting here in case anyone else has the same replacement lens problem with these lollipop lights.
