It's the weekend and I can't call langdons....
The HEI instructions are greek to me...Has anyone put one of these things on?
Please help...
Example" Rotate dist.until 6 points on internal star wheel line up with 6 points on stationary pole piece. Assure that the internal star wheel is ear the top of the stationary pole piece not towards the bottom"
What.......I can't find this star wheel...to start with and it goes south from there.
Has anyone documented this in pictures?
You can call me if you have the knowhow...I NEED THE HELP.

I took off the rotor cap and saw the star wheel...so I put the dist. on the motor, put the brace on( loosely ). lined up the star points..then I get lost. So I will call Langdons...

I really think that Tom Langdon's intent was to go to great detail to make sure that you had the distributor seated properly so that you would not run the engine without the oil pump being driven. Make the call but I am sure that is what he will tell you. I asked him the question of the 10 guage wiring. He said that was to prevent any false triggering and not an issue of current draw. | | |
