Can anyone give me a step-by-step for lifting the cab sufficently to replace them myself? I can use either an overhead lift or an air jack, if jacking is an option. What is the best method and what are all the attachment points that need to be unbolted?

| | | | | Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 1,181 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 1,181 | YOu can do them two at a time. Remove all four of the nuts and rock the cab back and forth just a tiny bit to break the bond.
Start with either side and use a flor jack and a 3 ft. long piece of 2x6, rig up a thick town to pad the 2x6 against the cab rocker panel. USe the jack to slowly life up the cab replace the needed parts and set her back down, DO NOT TIGHTEN her yet.
Repeat to the other side and then start tightening. ALSO If you have ordered an replacement jit the washers for the rear are just a bit to big to use, thickness is OK but the diameter will not allow you to put the washer in the rear cab mount, I went to Home Depot and simply got smaller ones.

Halfpint 33, that's certainly an effective method, I am just missing some of that big machinery you have! I do have an overhead hoist in my garage that's rated for 1500lbs--was thinking about using a 4x4 through the door openings with a strap attached to either end to raise the cab about an inch or two--is that a good approach?
V-6 Fix Modelman, no washers or bolts came with the "oem style" cab supports I got from LMC. And the front ones are predrilled but the rear ones are not. Is there a better match for the original avaialable?
65k25, I do have a hydraulic air jack I think will work if the hoist will not, but that's a good trick to know in case.
