I need to replace the camshaft bearings on a 1954 235 block,but I cant get the tool req,to do it.Has anyone removed them before? Please help.

Inexpensive automotive machine shop procedure. They have the tools and expertice to do that. Just my opinion but some jobs are best left up to the experts.

I have made the proper size step plugs with a hole in the center, and used all thread to do it.


Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.


As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins
