Tommyguns New Guy T Joined: May 2011 Posts: 20 Southern California	Hi, I have a transplant engine in my 49' Chevy 3100 pickup. Numbers are difficult to read # 8701881/ GM2. Another set GM 15/ 3835637. And finally B12 887 066 576. Can anyone narrow down my possibilities? Rust is making it difficult to be exact with the #'s. Thank you for your time. Tom

Also, search the forum for the topic and you will probably find some other reference pages that allow you to decode engines by their block numbers.
