Hi all I have a friend that just picked up a 1954 3600 3/4 ton longbed. He is having trouble finding brake lines pre-bent for it. Where is a good source for this particular model? Seems like it's hard to find parts.

Thanks!

I bent my own from pre-flared sections from my FLAPS.

Hi all,
Thank you. I will let him know. Tclederman, I took a look at inlinetube, looks like they only have them for short-beds.
Also looking at www.classictube.com

Thanks for the correction, UnklRod. It looks like 1952 is the last year they have lines for an Advance-Design 3/4 ton.

They will make up lines at the same cost if someone wants to send them an a set as a template. They made/matched the fuel line for my 54 Suburban and it fits perfectly.

Are the in/out ports of the fuel pump on your '54 parallel to the block, or are they angled at 20deg to the block? InLine tube, via Chevs of the 40's, says they do not have a template for lines that connect at the 20deg angle. Mine ports are at 20deg, as are the ports on the '52-'54 pump in the Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog.

Thanks,

Lonnie,

Sorry about the delay in responding. I think that my original fuel pump on a 54 235 truck engine had input/output ports that were about parallel to the block. However, my 235 is gone and I think my 1960 261 fuel pump has lines at different angles.

I am looking for old pictures.

Sorry,

Thanks, I ordered an InLine Tube pump-to-carb fuel line from Chevs of the 40's. It was bent for a pump that had ports parallel to the engine block. The ports on my pump are at an angle to the block. InLine does not have a template for angled pumps. Since then, I bent a line with help from fellow "Bolters".

By the way, the InLine Tube line looked good - it just didn't work with my pump.

I appologize for highjacking the thread.
