As I've finally had some time to start tearing apart my 62 my seat seems to be in pretty bad shape, worse enough off im thinking of going to a junkyard and getting a newer model bench seat from a chevy truck and apholstering to match. I recall seeing a post similar to this once but can't seem to find it, what years of seats would bolt into these without modification?

Why can't we just go back to the designs from when cars were unique and didn't all look the same?

I've got a decent seat, supposed to be from a 60, won't fit my 59 (too wide) sitting in my garage. I think it should bolt in to a 62, if you are interested in a stock seat.

If I can't find anything local I may take you up on that offer. I would like to put in a later model split bench if I can find one, just personal preference and I like my arm rest on my commute to work haha. I'm thinking it was mentioned somewhere it was 86-98's that would bolt in but I'm not positive it was those years.

Don't know how installation would go, but take a look at Longbed61 suburban seat. His "Pics" are in this forum.
