| | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,028 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,028 | I have been driving the truck a lot and tweaking here and there. It is running better and better. It seems it runs better on long drives rather than short.
I tweaked the timing tonight and took it for a ride and it is better on the hills, very little hesitation and smoother at high rpms.
I will keep driving it and check the compression in a few weeks. I did have a low cylinder (#4 was at 90 all others were at 110)
Could be related to brake in or valve adjustment so I will check a few hundred miles in.
In the meantime I have adjusted my expectations and I am happy with the (about 50%) increase in power and response I am getting. I notice I can maintain 55mph pretty consistently on the highway even on long hills without putting my foot in it.
It has a little better manuverability with the increased torque and response.
Now if that cylinder comes up to pressure I will be a very happy man.

I have...it is a block from my house and yes it is really steep.
