I've put the rubber ring seal in but still nothing fits. With the beauty ring slid over on the light there is a large opening.

Jim Do you have the retainer ring holding the headlamp into the bucket it looks like you dont ( part 1 in top http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/ca/full.aspx?page=97 ) as there is a big gap and that ring holds your headlamp further into the bucket and firm

From what I can see i the pics it appears to me the head light bucket it too far forward, sticking out of the opening to much.

I can't tell why that would be, it just looks that way from here.

The retainer ring is tight to the bucket. It may be that the bucket is too far out, like Dan wrote. My son assembled them so I probably need to back up and start over.

You might have to adjust that top clip that fits in the slot.

No the buckets came from LMC.

Sorry, if you followed the reference to a previous thread it took you to a busted link on my photo page. Here is a hopefully better one.

These are photos of the three places the headlight is held. I loosened the adjusters and let the thing swing open on the spring that is in the lower right hand of the photo.
