Just bought a 51 chev canopy express. I want to use the factory wheels, can I convert the rim to accept the tubless tires?

Are they 6 or 8 hole. If they are 6 hole drop center wheels, they will accept tubeless tires. If they are 2 piece, they will not accept tubeless tires.

beast54,

Your 1954 Chevrolet Canopy Express (congratulations) would have 1/2 ton 6-lug one-piece 16" factory wheels, unless someone put GMC 1/2 ton 6-lug two-piece 16" factory wheels on it (that is why crenwelge asked).

Cool! Thanks for your knowledge! Is there a way to tell without taking the tire off the rim if its a 2 piece or not?
