tinylevi New Guy T Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 12 MICHIGAN	Hi guys, Will a "VR4" voltage regulator that is made for a "new alternator regulator" work with my 305 V6 that has the original alternator. It calls for a "VR715". I've got a VR4 on hand and the VR715 is $50 from Auto Zone. Thanks! EDIT: After some reading and research it looks like the VR4 is for internally regulated alternators and the VR715 is for externally regulated alternators. Hence the price difference.
