thanks to everybody for all your great advice/tips. ..i am lookin for a original type fuse box for my 48 chevy 1/2 ton truck . just got the new cloth wrapped wiring harness : ) i cant seem to find fuse box anywhere....please help. thank you : thumbs_up :

I'm not sure when Chevy started putting a central fuse box in the pickups. My '38 has one master fuse on the ammeter and every accessory is individually fused with an in-line fuse.

1947 truck fuse box (a little better than the one shown below)

1948-1952 truck fuse box (not a very good picture)

No matter what the Shop Manuals show above, The Master Parts Manual shows different boxes for 47-49 and 50-54/55

It looks like:
47-49 had 10 terminals (five fuses, as shown above)
50-55 had 4 terminals (two fuses - sorry, I cannot find a photo)

thanks tim smile do u know of any reproduction boxes out there? and if so, who sells em? ive been havin a difficult time finding an original so i just need somethin as close to it as possible for now.. .this is my first stovebolt resto and maybe askin a dumb question blush i used a painless fuse box with my impala but i just purchased the original cloth wrapped harness grin from filling station and plan on doing full original resto. ...thank you again for your help thumbs_up
