When starting off such as first thing in the morning....the truck drags considerably at the start...it almost feels like the brake is on. My emegency brake is completely disconnected so no drag there. When I stop at a stop light and accelerate in 2nd (after drving for a little while) there doesn't appear to be a any dragging or struggling when starting off.
Any thoughts on what might be the issue? thanks john

The engine runs solid. I had trouble with the emergency brake where it wouldn't release the brakes. I eventually disconnected the emergency brake. it does fell like the brakes could be dragging. I'll have to pull the tires and drums off.
for the most part this is a new problem. not what a slipping clutch feels like.
