You can also find it posted in the ebay/caigslist section under HO52/HO72 Differentials | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | Rolf, the 67-72 Eaton is an HO52 rear axle, itt just that some of them during those years had a 4.10 ring and pinion instead of the 4.57 most were equiped with.
The housing, cover, center sections will all look the same for all the years. All of the Eatons were HO52's.

i found a rear axel at a junk yd in abilene that had the thw code on it
turns out it was on a 1/2 ton and the carrier was not a bolt on like the one on my 53
i'm gonna go back and try to find one
so now i have a 12 bolt rear end i don't need
i do have a 9 in ford rear end off a 64 pu but the bolt pattern is different
i'm also still searching for a 3 spd od manual for he 53
