I'm swapping a 68 front suspension onto a 61 truck. (entire crossmember assembly) Will I be able to use any of the 61 brake parts on the 68? Thanks. For machining, you should leave them on the hub. If you are replacing the drums then of course they need to come off the hub. | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 77 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 77 | I'm disassembling to do a brake job and turn drums. Donor truck was sitting so I'm pretty sure it needs everything.
Thanks for quick response. Pete | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 | I would guess that you want to pull the hub. Always a good time to check and grease the bearings.
