I was thinking of using the power steering and brakes off of my parts truck (86 Chevy) on my 46. I'm not too concerned with the mounting and fabrication part however this is a hydroboost system which uses the power steering pump and fluid to boost the brake pressure and it has a leak, not bad just annoying and messy, and I don't know if these boosters are rebuildable or not. I haven't checked with the parts stores for kits yet as if it sounds like a pain in the rear to do I'll just buy another or scrap this plan and move on. Anyone ever have any experience with these? Thanks for any help.

There are kits for them. I,ve been around them for many years but have never gone into one. There is a very serious injury precation on takeing one apart. There is a powerful spring loaded in it for reserve boost. If not done right it can inflick serious injury. I,ve always replaced it with a reman or let it leak if it,s not very much. Other than leakege they practically never fail.
