I'm close to painting my truck. I'm leaning to a two part system (base & clear). However, I was watching one of those truck shows and they used DupliColor paint for painting a deuce-and-a-half. No mixing or additives were required. It was relatively inexpensive to paint such a large vehicle. Has anyone had experience with this paint?

I have noticed this paint is available at Autozone. I would like to read about anyones experience or advice.

I didn't think it was that inexpensive at $22.95 a quart. Maybe, I am wrong. And I was disappointed that they did not have grey. I want to paint my interior grey.

Not many colors to pick from unless you start mixing it yourself which negates the whole ready to go part. If you decide to go for it, let us know how it goes.

I thought this would be a good system for us 'novelists.' The Duplicolor system I looked at in Autozone has a 3 system setup. They sell the primer, paint, and clear coat. I thought it was nice not to fear mix and match products.

I'm just not sure if painting in my driveway is good.

OBT - compare 22.95/qt to most high end auto paints at 50.00 or more .... the gray (metallic) would be a good interior color .... if you don't want overspray on the property, use a brush and roller, worked great for daBus

I cannot figure out how far a quart goes? Would a quart do one coat of the bed? Or the cab? Or the cab and front? Or half the truck?

I have a cannister sprayer. So, how much do you put in the can for spraying. I would probably do the interior - so how much for a single layer? Then wait for time to pass and do another? Two coats?

Maybe it would be worth it to buy a quart of the primer and see how far that goes. Would that be a good way to guess-ti-mate how far it goes? And a good way to practice spray technique
