The wiring is horrible, but i think I found one major peoblem... [IMG] http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/oo101/dalyman72/0415011516.jpg[/IMG] This is a picture of the brake light switch (I hope...). Aren't there supposed to be 2 wire connected? One wire goes to the brake lights, but the other wire is cut off after the bullet terminal. I ask this becasue there are many wires just hanging around not connected to anything and stuff still works, so is it possible for the brake lights to work without the second wire attached to the switch?

real good idea when you get a truck with rats nest wiring to either sort it all out properly and get rid of any extra useless stuff or better, just strip it all out and install it all new, you'll really hate it if a fire results from the mess

Check wires for power and ground before connecting anything.
