| | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 84 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 84 | I have a 1958 GMC napco 3/4 ton long bed. I've been told a long bed for a 1957 will work on my truck. However, I've noticed some discrepancy in long bed lengths. The sides on my truck are in the neighborhood of 100 inches long. I've seen some people say the sides are 92 inches long and some say 97-98 inches long. I'm confused and would like to know the difference. Thanks for any help.

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | there are 2 different lengths of 55-59 "long bed", the 123" WB 3200 and 3600 have the same 98 inch floor, and the 3800 with 135" WB has a 110" floor .... in your "neighborhood of 100 inches" you have the same bed as any 3200 or 3600 of 55-59, different figures you see are likely measurements of different areas

Bed sides measure a couple inches longer than that. Just make sure the bed you want to use is the longer length to fit your 58 truck. Mar-Ktech | | |
