I have a 65 chevy pu which I got with no engine I put in a 250 6 cyl and need some help on the basis wiring to ing. switch I have run a wire to the coil from the starter and from the coil to dist. when I use a push button remote starter it lights up on both sides of the coil. but now to get it to the ing. switch is the next challenge any help? out there? Does your truck have the engine compartment wiring harness that connects at the horn relay, alternator, and voltage regulator then runs to the firewall connection?

Hello, Yes The alt & regulator wiring haress is all there and I connected it up. I need the starter coil side but most important whic wires go to the key switch as i have no factor harness there. Thanks, Jerry

I think the Ignition switch is like this:

brn/w - Voltage regulator 4
ppl - direct to Solenoid S
p - goes all over the place including Solenoid R (may turn into a white or ppl wire at sol)
r - fuse panel power

I'm guessing you're not much into the wiring diagrams but as suggested you may want to find one and take a look. Finding a factory harness might also be a good idea. Good luck.
