Hey guys, Paint is a ways off yet, but I thought I'd take a vote on what color to paint my truck. Here's the two color combos I'm thinking of. Paint options Any other ideas? Just having some fun with it! Thanks! Mark

mine was green. after i took a wire wheel to the entire thing i repainted it green using XO RUST hunter green. i used a three inch roller and a two inch brush. when i was done i threw everything away. for what i use it for that was good enough for me. people are amazed how good it looks for a brush and roll job. im amazed how its holding up and that was three years ago. i wax it once a year.

Mine was also originally green. I found the green behind the voltage regulator on the firewall when I removed it. Oren repainted it fire engine red when they added the pumper body.

I like the green option/choice for yours.

I like the red/black combo. That style truck, I would paint the whole cab red with a black bed.

Hey Mark,

I did my tow truck like 51 ashton...quart of Rustolium Red and Bright White and a 3" brush. It's a cheap way to see what color you like and different ways of two-toning it. My tow truck started with the body white and the roof red. I later painted the hood red, then one day I thought it would look good white and orange so I repainted the red to orange. Two days later I repainted the orange back to red and it's been that we since.

You can see a picture of it on my web page (Mike's Garage).

Green looks better to me of the choices presented.
I'm not a fan of the two tone red and black, not on a Chevy at least. Although it does look great on a flat fended Dodge Power Wagon.

My 48 was originally red, and I wanted red any how so I'll go back to original or very near, and black running boards and bumper.
