For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 35 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 35 | I bought an aftermarket door lock for my 51' because I don't have the keys for the OG one.
I thought this would be a breeze to put in, it is easy to get in, but to get it to work is a whole other story.
I finally got it to lock, but I can't get it to unlock.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong or not, but I tried all kinds of things.
any help would be greatly appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | There are two locking mechanisms. It is possible to have the door double locked.
One is the key, if that one is not good return it.
The other is the inside handle which when pushed the opposite way locks the door. It is possible that you have engaged it by mistake. | | |
