59 Apache 235, I want to reconfigure the plumbing on the oil pressure gauge. currently there is a TEE sticking out of the block. does it matter which port on the tee the oil pressure gauge line is plumbed too? For example if I were to put it directly inline with the block as opposed to at 90deg.

I posted a pic can anyone tell me if they see a potential problem plumbing it this way (line is only mocked up in place it is not tight and looks cross-threaded in the picture)

That won't make any difference at all.

Truckernix,

Thank-you for your reply. I didn't think it would matter, except thought it may make the gauge pulsate or such.

your time is greatly appreciated

Jay

If you're concerned about the possibility of gauge pulsations, install a slightly over-length piece of copper tubing at the pressure port, and wrap about 3 turns around a medium-sized socket or a pipe coupling, etc. to from a coil in the line. It has a tendency to dampen out pressure fluctuations before the pressure reaches the gauge. If you want to hide it, put the coil of tubing under the dash, just behind the gauge.
