I have been trying to find out if I should use an additive to my oil or not.
There doesn't seem to any agreement.
Has anyone had and experience with Classic Car Motor oil?
They claim it's the one.

It seems too good to be .....
Thanks
Peter

If you have a stock-mild performance engine that is properly broken in, you will be fine with regular motor oil without any additives. Use a quality brand oil, like Valvoline or Castrol.
If you have a fresh rebuld, Rotella would also be good to use.

where do you get rotella? The only place I have seen it is in the phillipines and thailand, but then again I have never looked for it. Is it an eastern US thing? certainly is weird how mention of a motor oil can bring back those memories...

here in the southeast you can find it at any of the parts houses. If none of yours have it then go to a place that services the tractor trailer rigs.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Peter H,
Like Superfly I have a Babbit Pounder 216 and have over 100,000 miles on it and have used a High Grade 10-30 since the start. So far it still runs great. I change my oil every 60 days regardless of the mileage. Oil is cheaper than any failures. I buy it by the case and shop sales.
