Hey guys. Anyone haqve any experience with this? I'm replacing my front crossmember on my 57 3100. I think its too wide to just slip into place, since it fits up inside the c-channel frame rails. I was thinking of unbolting the bumper, core support, and springs, and jacking the rails apart enough to get it in. Opinions? Easier alternatives?

regards,
Leon

Is the frame tapered? Can you put it in fruher bac and hammer it forward?

Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice)
\'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run.
My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787.

cletis,
I have the BFH in reserve, in case there's no more elegant way.

highflyer,
AD frames are tapered.
TF frames are straight, to make room for the v8s.

regards,
Leon
