Hy Joshua, I'm going to assume you have changed to 12 volts as there is no ballast resistor required for 6 volts. On the 12 volt systems there is a resistor bypass circuit/wire in the primary ignition circuit. On the 12 volt 6 cylinder stomp starter there is a terminal on the side of the starter switch, which you can either wire to the output terminal of the ballast resistor, or direct to the coil input terminal. You can install this type of starter switch on your 6 volt starter if you have retained it after your conversion, it bolts right in place, hope that helps.
