RE: 1941-1946 chevy trucks

Ive got a mount that I believe is from a large truck, the upper portion that butts up against the upper rail is too tall.

No matter which way I position the mount the box doesn't line up and pass through the frame.

Are large truck steering box mounts different from 1/2t - 3/4t mounts?

Thanks!

What year?

From what I've seen the 48-53 boxes look like they will bolt in from the big and small trucks just the same.... but then im not sure what you're calling a mount either.

ahh, oops... 1941-1946 trucks. '48 and up I believe the steering box mounting changed.
The years in question had a separate mount that could clamp onto the steering box housing.
