On PAINTED hubcaps on Task Force trucks, what color were the bowties? I thought they were black, but on eBay I see a set with red bowties.

ones I've seen 57-60 were black, but I have seen blue on earlier years and on cars .... never seen any red

on my 59 they are black.

my 51 has those smooth chrome caps stamped "Chevrolet". They are all chrome, but I think those are supposed to be red.

I always thought black until I saw that listing. Granted, it is for a 3200, but red wouldn't look so good with my truck's color scheme. Black also gets added points for being 3100 correct. Black it is.

Thanks!

all models standard trim are the same, you can be sure the auction was wrong if it specified 3200
