I noticed that when I install the 2 foam spacers to cover the door control and regulator I still get some interference from the door control. I found this pic in one of the posts that shows a couple of foam spacers to hold the panel away from the door control. http://www.pbase.com/dennygraham/image/121651890My question is this: Even after installing a couple of foam pads in the same location the door panel does not fit flat. It bulges out from the door control and the foam pads. What am I missing? I've loooked at a dozen pics of finished trucks and found that the panels all look flat. Is this an illusion or should I expect some uneven surface on the interior door panel after the panel is installed. Thanks.

Made my own foam spacers also.
I believe 49 and earlier AD trucks had the relay installed in the door channel.
You can see that in Denny’s pic, the illustration on the bottom.
If installed like that the door panel would lay flat.
My relays do not drag on the panel when I open the door.
