on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 96 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 96 | I have a 1952 1300. The plugs in it are Champion RJ8C. The truck runs great with these. I can't find anything in my manuals to suggest what plug to use. I believe my engine is a 216. I did a search but so far I am not convinced with a solid answer. I did see ACR45S.Any suggestions? Champion used to be good but they are junk now. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Having sold spark plugs in a parts store for 12 years I have heard bad remarks about nearly every plug manufacturer out there.
I had people tell me that AC Delco plugs were junk, and would only use Champion. Others would only run Motorcraft, or NGK or .....well you get the drift.
So long as the engine is in good shape and the fuel system is working right you shouldn't have problems with any of them.
